Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
This is caused by damage to any part of the spinal cord or nerves at the end of the spinal canal. It also will commonly result in lasting changes in strength, sensation, and other body functions below the site of the injury.
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
A TBI occurs when an external mechanical force causes brain dysfunction, such as a violent blow or jolt to the head or body. It has a wide spectrum of physiological and psychological effects.
Parkinson’s Disease (PD)
PD is a disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement, often including tremors, otherwise known as trembling or shaking.
This disorder is caused when specific nerve cells in the brain slowly break down or die.
A stroke is when the blood flow to the brain is impaired or cut off. Without this imperative blood flow, your brain is deprived of vital oxygen and nutrients, and within minutes the brain cells start to die.
